Apple iPods - A Music Lover's Dream

Defined Tag:

Apple iPods were introduced to the market in 2001. Since that time, these iPods have been the leading favorite product for those who want to listen to digital music. While Apple has branched out and made iPods that display digital photos as well as play videos, it is still the music feature of this gadget that brings hundreds of people to Apple stores each year to buy an iPod. Although these iPods have come a long way since their creation, all models bear two distinguishing features. First, they offer a simple design, and second, their memory capacity is gigantic. Currently three iPod models bear the Apple icon. These include the video iPod, the iPod Nano and the iPod Shuffle.

The iPod Shuffle could be considered the entry level model of Apple iPods. This is the least expensive of the three models and lacks both an LCD screen and the famous touch wheel that controls the other iPod products. The simple design allows you to upload your play lists to the Shuffle, and then gives you the option of playing them in either regular play mode or shuffle mode. There are two memory sizes available in the Shuffle, the one gigabyte and the half gigabyte. Depending on which model you purchase, you can load up to 250 songs on your iPod.

iPod Nano Silver 2GBThe next level of the Apple iPods is the iPod Nano. While it offers memory sizes larger than one gigabyte, the Nano also comes with a new operating system, giving you abilities once only available on a Mac computer. The iPod Nano also has an LCD screen that can display album art or digital photos. The Nano is available in black or white, a weighs in at about one and one half ounces.

Last, but not least is the fifth generation Apple iPod Video. This granddaddy of iPods has a video screen for viewing album art and pictures as well as movies, television shows and video podcasts. With models available ranging from 30 – 60 gigabytes of memory, you could load enough songs and videos on your iPod to keep you occupied during a flight around the world.

As Apple has introduced their progressive line of iPods, the gadgets have increased in memory size, usability and functionality. If you love music and need a portable way to store your tunes, one of these Apple iPods is sure to be perfect for you.
